Roxanne Walker, Senior Field Operations Analyst-Technical Services at Pennsylvania Compensation Rating Bureau, has been named Chapter Chair for the Mid-Atlantic Region of the National Society of Insurance Premium Auditors (NSIPA).
For nearly half a century, NSIPA has been committed to the growth, development, professionalism, and education of the insurance premium auditor and the insurance industry. NSIPA’s Mid-Atlantic Chapter, created only earlier this year, includes Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Walker was a featured speaker at this year’s NSIPA Annual Seminar in Orlando.
“NSIPA provides educational resources for auditors as well as events where we can all come together. It’s a driving force for the industry,” said Walker. “We hope to build up membership across the newly established Mid-Atlantic Chapter and bring back ‘A-Day,’ a full day of in-person education for premium auditors that hasn’t been held in our region since prior to COVID.”
Walker joined PCRB in 2005, starting in the Classification Department, and has worked in Field Operations for the last 16 years. Her tenure includes the previous six years in her current role, for which she is responsible for the review and analysis of test audits, resolving payroll allocation disputes, consulting on technical matters, issuing classification decisions, conducting test audits in the field, as well as training and mentoring new hires.
Walker also acts as the face of the Test Audit Program, representing PCRB at local, regional, and national audit society meetings and seminars and presenting educational workshops for carriers and audit vendors. Walker is also instrumental in developing and maintaining the Test Audit Portal, the web application used by PCRB/DCRB to communicate with carriers for test audit purposes.
“Roxanne’s skills and expertise make her an ideal fit for this role with NSIPA,” said PCRB President Bill Taylor. “We are confident she will represent our organization and the industry with pride and dedication.”
Walker earned a B.A. in Communications from Temple University. She was active in the now-defunct Philadelphia Insurance Auditors’ Society (PIAS) and was named Auditor of the Year in 2018.
